Two Peas Or Not Two Peas

ByGosh and ByGolly along with their mother #8 are all doing great in their small pasture pen.

They have been learning that when one gets up to eat, the other one had better get in there quick before there are not enough squirts left to fill an empty belly. They are now napping together as well as playing, running, scuffling around and head-butting each other. This togetherness is important for the twins who will be quite a bit smaller than the other calves, and to protect against roving coyotes.

Now it is time for Mike and I to get them both ear tagged and to band (castrate) ByGolly before letting the trio out into the much larger pasture where all the other cow/calves are roaming.
