Messy Here And There

The big mess that we had when the two trees collided several weeks ago has been slow to get worked up into pieces because I have a few other tasks between the different areas of logging to finish up. The areas that we had been working on are opening up several spots where it is obvious that they will be the areas that need seedlings planted.

Mike took the blade of the bulldozer to scrape across the ground to get all the limbs/slash pushed into piles around and under tall trees. The slash will break down in the next few years to feed the trees while the open ground is ready to plant seedlings when they come in January or February 2022.

Until then this small plot will remain as is while we finish up other small areas of concern in the forest.
