Playtime is Learning Time
Playtime for the new calves becomes an enjoyable show for anyone who stops to watch. For the calves, it is a frolicking rollicking time, pushing, shoving, falling down and jumping up.
These two spend a good ten minutes with the game until one of the mothers noticed the two getting a little rough with each other and came on the run to break up the fun.
During this play, the calves are learning who is the most dominant and what their individual strengths are. It builds muscle and memory that will help them as they move in with different animals and different surroundings.
