One Of My Favorite Views
It might be because this is what the rest of the world looks like from my high perch on the hillside. Or it might be because this means that my work in the woods is done for the day and I am heading back to the house. But this is one of my most favorite views on the whole farm no matter what season it is.
This day the contrast between the green conifers and deciduous trees is more striking against the light tan fields of the harvested hay fields that are more than 200 feet lower than where I am standing.
The far hills show patches of logging operations that cleared areas and have already been replanted for the next generation of timber.
