Not To Be Outdone By A Dog

Having a story about one of the goofy farm dogs is fine, but the cats seemed like they felt they had to chime in on the fun.

It was a very rainy day, over an inch during the daylight hours with more coming down when it was time to start the evening chores. I was dressed in layers of waterproofing and just the effort to get everyone in the barn eating was exhausting. I sat down on a hay bale that was bumped up against our big stack.

Before long I heard the familiar purring of “Me”, the siamese-looking tom cat. I gently pulled my phone from beneath layers and snapped a selfie with Me looking over my shoulder. Wouldn’t ya know it, “My Shadow” the black bug-eating kitten, figured something fun was happening and soon she popped her head up as well for a good photo bomb.

So much for the dogs getting all the attention around here.
