Full Tilt
My dehydrator is running full tilt these days trying to keep up with the plethora of fruit ripening at the same time.
The prune tree is down to the last few days of production. They are falling off the tree with splats as the fruit has begun to get mushy. The Gravenstein apple tree has a couple of buckets full hanging among the branches but they will also be finished in a few days.
And the pear tree has been dropping about a bucket full each night as the branches get heavier and heavier with the growing fruit. The pears are being staged in a single layer on a table in the garage as they ripen. I had been able sneak a tray or two of the ripe pears between prunes and apples in the dehydrator to keep up with them, but even with giving away many I still have a good number that are ripe. I will be doing up a canner load to take the pressure off while getting the prunes and apples through the dehydrator.
