Frost On The Bridge
Thursday morning came with freezing temperatures. The gauges hung right at 32 degrees from about 4 to 6am.
I watched the fog out in the field on the east side of the house sweep in and out and each time it retreated the grass looked just a little bit more white with frost. To the west of the house, the garden got nipped but only on some of the squash plants and the tips of the tomatoes. The rest seemed to be spared this time around.
The bridge stayed frosty until about 7:30 when the sun finally was able to hit the metal and warm it above the freezing mark. I am sweater-ing up these days in an effort to keep from turning on the heat to the house.
