Finding Her Own Space
A few days ago I told the story of my not having enough time to do tasks or jobs around the farm especially getting around to cutting up a log deck. That story was not what I had planned that day at all, but when I sat down at the computer to put my ideas into a post everything took a different turn. So here is the story that I had planned on writing…
It began with a walk across the bridge, the main herd of cattle were lounging around. Some were under the fir trees, some were by the fence, a few of the calves were nosing around the wood piles and one cow was huddled up next to the bucket of the tractor that we store along with other pieces of equipment when we have the forks on the front end.
The cow had found her own hiding spot with her head tucked near the bucket so that none of the other critters bothered her during her rest.
Even though she was only yards away from the rest of the cows, she had found a way to have time to herself and peaceful downtime.
