Emergency Delivery
Our normal plans for this week are on hold since Mike got a call from one of our long time bull buyers that has a farm along the Oregon/California border.
The bull that they had purchased from us last year had been working out well for the farm and they were really pleased with his demeanor with humans and the females he has been keeping company with. But the bull had injured himself with a deep laceration and is out of bull commission for at least two months. The farm strives to have their calves delivered in October and November with the last of the bunch born before the year end. Being out of business on the bull end of the equation is not a viable option, the farm called Mike to see if another could be sorted from our group in the bull pen for immediate delivery.
Sorting will take place today to get the correct bull for the job and we will move him into the show barn for the night for easy loading into the stock trailer.
Tomorrow Mike will be on the road with the emergency delivery of herd sire for the next batch of calves for this farm.
Now that is customer service to the max!
