Summer Playtime in the Water

We turn on the irrigation a couple of times a week and fill all the stock tanks. On this day we happened to have developed a leak at one of the joints in the irrigation pipe. The calves considered it a new game and were soon lining up to enjoy a cool mist before moving on to catch up with their mothers.

Several of the calves got brave enough to try sipping from the spray only to come away with a wet face and dripping eyelashes. It was all in the name of good clean fun. The splash dried quickly and the break from the ordinary was over all too soon.
