Changes For Three Car Mudroom

Since building the oversized garage I joked about it being a three car mudroom. Besides being able to accommodate vehicles, the garage has been known to be a medical center for newborn calves, a workspace for cutting up and processing deer and elk, and a party room. Wintertime has the large space filled with outer clothing in various states of drying after coming in from doing chores or working in the woods. There are several boot racks since we all have a variety of traction wear, barn Mucks and garden sloggers.
With our latest wood project, the garage has taken on a transformation and is now a three bay firewood warehouse.A pallet of bundled kindling on the front loader of tractor.
The cribs of wood are first moved into the production area in the barn. Then once the wood is bundled and on a pallet, the front loader of the tractor moves the load to the garage.

There is still some shuffling of garage stuff that needs to be done in order to keep the wood out of the way and protected from all the day-to-day traffic that happens and it may take a while to get the logistics correct. In the meantime, deliveries will be starting soon and the garage, ahem, storage bays will be busy with comings and goings.
