Where Else Would It Need To Go?
It has been a busy month road building. After all the bulldozing, tree felling, stump excavating, and maneuvering around the woods to get a drive-able road to the top of the hill in place the spot where the road comes out of the woods and onto the established rock road is right where our outdoor hay feeders were set for cattle feeding. Of course, the road needs a large sweep on this final corner to allow a loaded log truck to turn so it can exit the woods and head for the county road.
Of the three mangers (hay feeders), at least one of them needed to be moved. The front loader of the tractor assisted in lifting the 7 foot fenceposts out of the rocked base, then lifted the round structure up and out of the way.
Mike came through next with the dozer and smoothed the raised area that was beneath the feeder and continued on with the road-building. Hopefully this will be the only feeder that needs to be moved, we will find out more when the log hauler comes by to approve the work.
