Ant Dancing
The warm weather this week has brought out the carpenter ants, those big black flying ants that love to land on every surface only to lose their wings and are then found crawling everywhere.
My sidewalk has been littered with these crawlers. I say littered because they are no longer moving. It seems like my ant dance around the house has been trouble for the critters. I moon-walked a couple, do-see-doughed a few on the corner, did the twist on some unsuspected slow movers, and polka-ed a pair of runners. Daily exercise takes on a whole new meaning when foot placement is determined by moving targets.
My dance moves are no match for these creatures. I’m just hoping the neighbors don’t see my antics as they drive by.
