Best Friends

The three calves that were born on the house side of the river (we refer to this area as the show barn) are now best friends and spend their days hanging around together. These are the oldest of the newest calf crop.

I happened to snap this picture while the mothers were eating hay in the manger. The three calves had already gotten a bite or two of hay before finding a good buddy spot to loaf for an hour while they practice chewing their cud.
