Frog Sightings

I have been hearing about frog sightings. After the long, dry summer the croakers seem to have decided that enough is enough and they are going to make themselves seen again. During that dryness the frogs seemed to have disappeared.

Just in the last week, my sis said she heard a frog again for the first time in quite a while. One of my sister-in-laws found one had made its way into her living room and gave chase before the extended game of hide and seek ended in the frog being moved outside and back into nature.

teeny frog on a leafSince the swamp dried up here on the farm a couple of months ago, nary a ribbet has been heard.

I was pleasantly surprised to fine a very tiny baby frog on a leaf as I was looking at how the Asian pears were growing.

The frog seemed comfortable and the pears are within a couple a week from being ripe enough to eat. That is good news on two fronts.
