Transparent Breakfast
The very thin skinned Transparent Apples are ripening quickly. They are the first to get ripe of all the tree fruits and are one of my favorites. But you will not find them in the grocery store, the skins are so delicate that they bruise easily. Just picking them off the tree causes them to bruise and begin to degrade.
That is why I make a point of going into the garden each day before I begin the morning chores to grab an apple fresh off the tree for delicious eating.
Picking one apple out of a group like this one will most surely cause others to fall off. The cows are getting the taste of fresh apples every time I eat one because of this.
These apples are also the ones that I like to dehydrate and will get busy on that project before these apples go beyond crisp and turn mealy.
Yum! Nothing better than fruit right off the tree (or vine, or bush, or whatever).
