Sprung

violets in the duffEven though we still have temps that drop into the low 20’s at night, or have days that see spits of hail/sleet/snow between raindrops, the plants around the farm are beginning to show that they are ready for spring to start.

I saw several dainty blossoms poking up in the forest as we straightened cages that had been flung around. The first trilliums were spotted as were several white, pale lavender and purple violet-like blooms. The small yellow flowers, also shaped like violets that accent old logging roads, have begun to open.

The weather may not show it today, but spring is here.
