#52 On His Way

It was just a couple of days ago when bull #56 was removed from the bull pen and sent happily along to his new herd of females to lord over when we got a call from Eugene area.

The farmer arrived with his stock trailer the next day to look at the remaining bulls in the pen. It took only a few minutes for the farmer to reach a decision on which bull he wanted. While the business end of the meeting was conducted, I was able to move three with one of them being the farmers choice of #52 Earl, from the remaining six animals in the bull pen, across the pasture and got them locked in the show barn. From there I was able to separate the bull that the farmer wanted from the extra two and waited to get a little help in order to get those two who were going to be staying on the farm back to the bull pen.

The bulls were calm and good natured about the shuffling around, we do not care for bulls behaving badly especially when there is company on the farm. The farmer was able to back his stock trailer up to the gate of the show barn and bull #52 loaded easily and was soon headed to his new destination.

The bull pen is now down to five bulls with two of those already sold with plans to deliver one next week and hold the other for a couple of months until that farm is ready for him.
