#47 Donna And Dawn

As promised, this is the official introduction to our newest calf.

With a quick ride in the back of the Gator across the river and reunited with her mother, I would like to introduce heifer calf Dawn.

Dawn was born on 11/19/21 and weighed in at 62lbs. This was a good size for first time mother, #47 Donna. Many of you may remember, nearly two years ago now, Donna as the calf that was born to the small group of cows we had at a neighbor farm doing grass control duty.

Donna has grown into a fine adult and is taking her mother responsibilities naturally.

Since we got Dawn and Donna back together after getting them to the correct side of the river,  we let them bond for a couple of hours before putting them out in the nursery field. The pair of them have the whole pasture of about 16 acres to roam, bed down along the fence line of trees, drink from the spring and just hang out.

This is the first calf out of our new herd sire Sky High and are very happy with the look of this offspring.

A great beginning for the first-time heifer and first-time herd sire.
