3T At It Again
That was until the other day, 3T was standing in the wrong pasture. His mother was not happy on the other side of the fence. Somehow, probably he had taken a nap next to the fence and when he got up had slipped to the incorrect side by accident. His mother was making a lot of bellowing noises and bothering the bulls in the bull pen with all her antics.
With the bulls to the right, the critters in the show barn to the left and little 3T standing in front of me with a dazed, confused look, I had to fix the issue. I called the mother and the two heifers and other cow into the barn and locked the head gates when they came in for grain. Then I opened up the barn gates and walked around 3T. The bulls were still making quite a bit of noise so he kept wanting to go toward them instead of to the barn but he finally let me coerce him to move in the correct direction.
Once inside the barn he realized he was very hungry and immediately started nursing as his mother was eating. After 3T was done nursing he moved along the manger and got a few licks off the mineral block we have for the critters. He knew he was back where he belonged. I just hope he stays that way.
Talk about getting up on the wrong side of the bed. Triple T is a champ at that. Maybe he will learn not to nap next to a fence.
